The primary goal of the Kinship Support Services Program is to meet the needs of relative caregivers in order that they may be able to effectively
care for the child(ren) in their care. By meeting the needs of relative caregivers, they can provide care with less stress and enjoy more quality
time for themselves. The program’s intent is to avoid placement of the child in unrelated foster care and enhance the overall functioning of the
family.
As part of the Family Enhancement Collaborative, relative caregivers in East Contra Costa County will have access to services which will help them
address their needs and the needs of the children.
The Kinship Support Services Program focuses on supporting, strengthening,
enhancing, and assisting relative caregivers who are working to protect and strengthen the children in their care. |
